The DONAU TOURISTIK, with its owners Komm.Rat Manfred Traunmüller and Jörg Preimesberger, is known for cycling at the first hour.
In 1984 mayor Walter Steiner (Ottensheim) and our management had the idea to give the towpath to the cyclists. The first marker, named "DANUBE-CYCLE-PATH" was applied by us. Today Donau Touristik ist one of the biggest provider of cycle tours in Austria.
We also own the ship MS KAISERIN ELISABETH and so it is is possible spend your cycle tour along and on the danube.
Every wednesday beginning in may till september you can do your back journey from Vienna to Passau by Ship.
By the austrian federal minister for economy & work we got 2002 the national coat of arms.
