- Day 1, Arrival
in Rothenburg/T. Hand out of RENTAL BIKES and information material. Private parking space (unguarded). The guided tour with the night watchman is recommendable (€ 6,- surcharge).

- Day 2, Ansbach (43 km)
Past the powerful Castle Colmberg to Ansbach.

To the LAKE ALTMÜHLSEE and through the now narrower ALTMÜHL VALLEY to the Karlsgraben and your destination for the day.

- Day 4, Eichstätt (55 km)
Past Treuchtlingen through the silent, charming valley of the nature reserve Altmühl passing the "Twelve Apostle Rock" into the bishop town Eichstätt.

- Day 5, Enkering/Kinding/cat. A (34 km); Beilngries/cat. B (44 km)
Passing Pfünz (Roman castle) you cycle to Kinding or Beilngries. Overnight in the 3***Gasthof Krone (cat. A) or 3***S-Hotel Krone (cat. B).
- Day 6, Kelheim (cat. A 55 km)/Essing (cat. B 39 km)
From Dietfurt the valley gets busier; the Main-Danube-Canal with its ships mark this part. Past Riedenburg to Essing or Kelheim and to the mouth of the Danube. Optionally Danube ship trip to the Abbey Weltenburg (approx. every hour: € 9,- on the spot; roundtrip).
