ALTMÜHL CYCLE TRACK: Nature experience Altmühl

Cycle Track: First LONG DISTANCE CYCLE TRACK of Germany; it was alread in the 1980ies generously traced out away from the traffic. For the majority bituminised or hard sanded; uniformly signed. From Rothenburg/Tauber to the near spring of the Altmühl slightly hilly, then flat to slightly downhill. From Kelheim to REGENSBURG DANUBE CYCLE TRACK in same quality.

Start and end: Rothenburg/T. (11.200 inh.). or Gunzenhausen (16.100 inh.) -Regensburg (132.200 inh.). 

Dates: Daily arrival from April 28th to October 6th (=last arrival)
Low season: April 28th to May 20th, Sept. 1st to Oct. 6th
High season: May 21st to Aug. 31st

OUR PLUS: Parking space at the beginning. Return transfer every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from your hotel in Regensburg to the private parking space in Rothenburg/Gunzenhausen; own bikes are taken for € 18,-/without or € 63,- incl. transport insurance (otherwise 3 changes by train).
