282 km DANUBE connect the metropolises of Austria and Hungary. Exactly right for a day ship trip. Stops in BRATISLAVA for a guided city walk and in Esztergom for a sight-seeing tour of the cathedral let you get to know the people and the country.

ITINERARY

  • Thursday:
    • 6.45 h from Vienna-Nußdorf. Buffet breakfast.
    Through the National Park Donauauen to Bratislava.
    09.45-11.00 h stop for a guided walk through the historic centre.

    Further on to the broadest part of the Danube above the Iron Gate. Captains buffet. Through lonesome landscapes to Esztergom, whose cathedral glares majestically in the evening light.
    17.30-19.15 h stop for a guided tour of the cathedral.
    Further on with buffet goulash on board. From approx. 22.00 h round trip by ship through the lit capital of the Magyars.

    22.30 h     arrival in Budapest (right bank, opposite parliament), bus transfer to the hotel.
  • Friday:
    Afternoon guided city tour (3 h).
  • Saturday:
    Return transfer by train optionally from Budapest 13.10 h or 17.10. h (journey time approx. 2 h 45 min. to Vienna-Meidling)
