ROUTE
- Day 1, Arrival
in Rothenburg/T. Handing out of rental bikes and info. Private parking space (unguarded). ADDITIONALLY BOOKABLE: Night-watchman tour € 6,-; duration approx. 1 hour
- Day 2, Bad Mergentheim (56 km bike, 46 km bus)
From the hotel you cycle past Röttingen and Weikersheim (castle) into the beautiful spa town Bad Mergentheim. Back by bus to Rothenburg/T. Overnight as the day before.
- Day 3, Ansbach (49 km)
At the beginning slightly hilly to the spring of the Altmühl; along the small brook past the Hohenzollern Castle Colmberg to Ansbach (guided tour residence; biggest orangery of the world). Overnight eg. in Hotel Bürgerpalais.
- Day 4, Wettelsheim (60 km)
To the Lake Altmühl and over Gunzenhausen you reach Wettelsheim.
- Day 5, Walting (58 km)
Through the Nature Reserve Altmühl to Solnhofen (fossils) and into the clerical Eichstätt. On to Walting to the Top 4****Landhotel Gut Moierhof.
- Day 6, Riedenburg (63 km)
Through the nature reserve to Beilngries. Along the Main-Danube-Channel past Dietfurt to Riedenburg.
- Day 7, Regensburg (56 km)
Past Kelheim to the confluence of Altmühl and Danube; on the cycle track into the UNESCO-world-cultural-heritage town Regensburg.
- Day 8, Walhalla & Regensburg (12 km)
On the Danube Cycle Track to Donaustauf and the Walhalla, the best-known hall of fame of King Ludwig (indiv. sightseeing). By ship back to Regensburg. There guided tour of the "Reichtagssaal" & torture museum. Overnight as the day before.
- Day 9, Journey home
Return transfer by bus (Thu - Sun) or by train (rest of days) to Rothenburg. Client´s own bikes can be handed over for the return transfer on the day of arrival in Regensburg. € 18,- without/ € 63,- with transport insurance. Or booking of an additional overnight.

BOARD
