LAKE CONSTANCE CYCLE TRACK: Lake Constance - the soul of Europe

Cycle Track: The international Lake Constance Cycle Track is uniquely marked and runs near the train or the lake in Switzerland; numerous lidos (free of charge) invite for a swim in between the cycling. In Austria you also cycle directly or near the lake, partly through nature reserves. In Germany the track leads also through nature reserves, partly along or near the lake. Through some towns you cycle on bike paths next to the road.

Start and end: Bregenz (27.000 inh.), the picturesque festival town amidst the corresponding bay. From July 22nd to August 21st we occasionally book neighbouring towns such as Lindau or Dornbirn (for arrivals Friday, Saturday and Sunday). Unguarded car park in Bregenz for € 60,-/week (if advised).
Friedrichshafen (58.000 inh.), unguarded parking space free of charge; or car park (€ 10,-/day).
Lindau (24.300 inhabitants - 3.200 thereof on the isle), garage spaces or parking space at the hotel (approx. € 10,- or € 8,-/night payable on the spot).

Salem (1.200 inhabitants), clerical centre near Birnau (private parking space free of charge at the hotel)
