General information on the Danube Cycle Track
GENERAL INFORMATION

Cycle Track: From 312 m sea level the route goes always along the Nibelungenstream, traffic-free and flat/slightly downhill to the destination on 183 m sea level.
Start and destination: Passau (50.740 inh.) lies on the confluence of the DANUBE, Inn and Ilz. Vienna (1,81 million inh.) lies on the DANUBE and is also one of the federal states of Austria.
Dates: Daily arrival from April 16th to October 16th (= last arrival)
Low season: April 16th to May 25th; Sept. 14th to Oct. 16th
High season: May 26th to Sept. 13th

Private parking space Passau incl. (unguarded near Jesuitenschlössl at bike hand-out)
Underground parking for € 48,-/8 days bookable (guarded, near train station)
Return transfer by bus directly from hotel in Vienna (approx. 8.30 h) to the parking space Passau and train station (arr. approx. 13 h)
Return train ride for + € 5,- pp (2. nd class, free train choice; transfer to the train station not incl.).
Return transfer by ship see "Back by MS Wolga" or "Back by excursion ship"

Plane arrival: If you booked a plane arrival to Vienna we will send you the Vienna-Passau train ticket home.
