ROUTE
- Day 1, Arrival
in Vienna. Handing out of info material. For car arrivals garage space at the Gartenhotel Altmannsdorf included. For plane arrivals to Budapest the train tickets Budapest-Vienna will be sent home before the tour.
3***Gartenhotel Altmannsdorf.
- Day 2, Bratislava (68 km)
Through the Nature Reserve Donauauen to Hainburg. On the cycle track directly into the centre of the Slovakian capital (castle, Crowning Church, Primatial Palace aso.). Every Sunday ship trip Vienna-Hainburg & entry Lower-Austrian exhibition free of charge (please notify with booking); 48 km ship, 19 km bike.

- Day 3, Mosonmagyaróvár (45 km)
On beautiful cycle tracks to the border SK/H. Through Dunasziget and the Nature Reserve ,,kleine Schütt"to Mosonmagyaróvár.

- Day 4, Györ (45 km)
On back roads into the "metropolis" of Western Hungary, in former times situated on a branch of the Danube.

- Day 5, Komárno/SK (67 km)
On country roads to the border H/SK. Very beautiful along the Slovakian bank to Medvedov. Further on into the double-town Komárom/Komárno (4 fortresses).

- Day 6, Esztergom (56 km)
Past the Roman fort Kelemantia on very beautiful dam tracks, through farming villages along the Slovakian bank to Esztergom (cathedral with biggest altarpiece of the world, third-biggest domed structure of Europe).

- Day 7, Budapest (54 km bike, 18 km train)
To the King´s Castle Visegrád; by ferry to Szob on the left bank; further on through the Danube knee to Szentendre (artists town). Handing back of rental bikes. By train to Budapest or for the majority on cycle tracks to the hotel (74 km). If notified by ship (17 h dep.) to Budapest.

Every Saturday by bus from the hotel to the parking space in Vienna (arr. approx. 14 h; return transport of own bikes possible for a surcharge of € 30,- without/€ 83,- with transport insurance) or by train; eg. Budapest dep. 9.10 h/Vienna arr. 11.46 h, if you have own bikes to take 11.21 h dep./15.25 h arr. (change Györ) - but not recommendable; bike ticket not incl.
BOARD
The Slovakian and Hungarian cooking are related. Good and solid dishes are eaten with much bread; everything piquant flavoured. Buffet breakfast (6x), ample breakfast (1x).
