German Danube Cycle Track: Unknown and beautiful - Upper Danube

Cycle Track: For years this European long distance cycle track gets the best marks from our clients. Till Ulm every metre is an experience. At the beginning about half is hard sanded or bituminised; away from the traffic to Sigmaringen. Then a few short stages on back roads occur. From Neuburg/D. cycle track. Uniformly marked. From Sigmaringen flat; before that a tiny bit hilly. Between Donauwörth and Neustadt slightly hilly.

Start and end: Donaueschingen (21.400 inh.). Parking at the hotel (unguarded). Regensburg (132.500 inh.) UNESCO-world-heritage site (or only till Ulm).

Dates: Arrivals every Thu, Fri & Sat from May 12th to Sept. 17th (=last arrival)
Low season: May 12th to June 1st and Aug. 21st to Sept. 17th
High season: June 2nd to Aug. 20th

Service: parking space & return transfer included: return transfer by bus: every Saturday. Pick-up directly from the hotel & transfer to the parked car in Donaueschingen. Own bikes are taken for € 18,- without/ € 63,- with transport insurance. Return transfer by train: approx. 7 hour ride - 16.39 h arr.  Donaueschingen (10.15 h from Ulm, 12.39 arr. Donaueschingen). Bike ticket for € 5,- incl. issue-fee bookable at Donau Touristik.
