DANUBE CYCLE TRACK: German Danube Pleasure Tour to Ulm

TT27 German Danube Cycle Track Pleasure

In the approx. 90 km long breakthrough valley of the Danube through the Swabian Alb you will surely say: "That´s how beautiful Germany is!".

ROUTE

Donauradweg_Donaueschingen_Park
  • Day 1, Arrival
    in Donaueschingen-Aufen. Handing out of rental bikes and info documents. Private parking space (unguarded at the hotel). Welcome dinner.
    Overnight in the 3***Hotel Waldblick.
Donauradweg_Fridingen_Donau
  • Day 2, Tuttlingen/Mülheim(46 km)
    On the bottom of the valley you cycle from the Danube origin to the infiltration. Afterwards to your destination for the day.
    Overnight in the 3***Hotel Stadt Tuttlingen.
Donauradweg_Sigmaringen_Radler
  • Day 3, Sigmaringen (47 km)
    In the Nature Reserve Obere Donau the cycle track leads through narrow canyons, valleys and lonesome meadows, then you reach Beuron (convent) and Sigmaringen, former capital of the Hohenzollern-state.
    Overnight in the 3***Hotel Fürstenhof.
Donauradweg_Riedlingen_Giebel
  • Day 4, Marchtal (51 km flat)
    The hills of the Swabian Alb left, vast fields right of the Danube, that´s how you reach the towns Mengen (castle), Riedlingen (timber-framed houses) and Marchtal.
    Overnight in the 3***Gasthof Berghofstüble.
Donauradweg_Ulm_Abendpanorama
  • Day 5, Ulm (65 km)
    Past Ehingen and through the Blauental, you cycle to Germany´s most beautiful karstic spring - the "Blautopf". Further into the beautiful Ulm with minster (highest church tower of the world), tanner´s quarter, town hall, "Askew House", aso. 
    Overnight in the 4****Hotel Maritim.
Donauradweg_Guenzburg_Donautal
  • Day 6, return transfer
    Back by train (RE3206) without changes or Saturdays bus transfer to Donaueschingen or additional overnights in Ulm.

BOARD

Daily buffet breakfast. For halfboard 3-course dinner with excellent "Badisch", Swabian and Bavarian cooking (partly outside the hotel). 1 x dinner also included for guests who only booked breakfast.
