ROUTE
- Day 1, Arrival
in Bad Schandau; private parking space (unguarded) at the hotel.
Overnight in the 3***S Hotel Erbgericht.
- Day 2, Decin (46 km)
Handing out of rental bikes and info; very beautiful through the narrow valley, lined with heights till 685 m you cycle along the Elbe to Decin (Tetschen). Passing Castle Großpriesen back to the hotel. Overnight as the day before.
- Day 3, Dresden (52 km)
From Bad Schandau past Pillnitz (castle of August the Strong) to Dresden.
Overnight in the 4****NH-Hotel Dresden.
- Day 4, Moritzburg & Dresden (19 km bike, 7 km train)
On the Elbe Cycle Track into the near Radebeul. With the excursion train "Lößnitzdackel" to the grand Baroque Castle Moritzburg; through the imposing park, passing deep-green lakes back to the hotel. Overnight as the day before.
- Day 5, Meißen (24 km)
From Dresden into the 1.000-year old town Meißen (Albrechtsburg, cathedral, porcelain-factory).
Overnight in the 4****Welcome Parkhotel or 4****Hotel Goldener Löwe.
- Day 6, Riesa (27 km)
Along the Saxon wine road to the Baroque Castle Diesbar-Seußlitz and to Riesa. Back to Meißen by bike (+ 27 km) or optionally without surcharge by train. Overnight as the day before.
- Day 7, Return transfer
to Bad Schandau by train. Journey home.
