The Etsch Cycle Track leads you along the bottom of the valley, through vineyards and vast orchards. A varied landscape and the "typical Dolce Vita" is what you experience in the course of this cycle holiday.

Etschradweg_Nauders_Ortsansicht
  • Day 1, Arrival
    in Nauders near the Lake Reschensee (Lago di Resia). Handing over of rental bikes and info; unguarded parking space near the hotel.
    Overnight in the 3***Hotel Edelweiß
Etschradweg_Schlanders_Ortsansicht
  • Day 2, Naturns (68 km)
    Along the Etsch you cycle through well-kept orchards, past Castle Dornsberg. Finally you reach the holiday town Naturns (townscape, castle).
    Overnight in a 3***hotel.

  • Day 3, Bozen (49 km)
    Slightly downhill to Meran and on the Etsch Cycle Track further on to Nals, then very beautiful on flat cycle tracks over Andrian to the Etsch/Eisack-mouth near Castle Sigmundskron; on cycle tracks directly into the centre of Bozen.
    Overnight in the 4****Hotel Four Points by Sheraton .

  • Day 4, Trento (61 km)
    Always staying at the Etsch you reach the Salurner Klause (former German/Italian language border). Further on to San Michele dell‘ Adige and into the centre of the council town Trento (cathedral, castle). Overnight in the 4****Grand Hotel .

  • Day 5, Riva/Arco (53 km)
    Through picturesque vineyards to Rovereto and Mori. Slightly rising to San Giovanni; further on over Torbole along the Lake Garda to Riva or Arco.
    Overnight in the 3***+Hotel Venezia, 4****Hotel Oasi or 4****Hotel Royal. (Additional overnight with bike trip into the Sarca valley recommendable; € 65,- Double/€ 89,- Single.)

  • Day 6, Verona (39 km bike, 3 km bus, 35 min. train)
    By bus to San Giovanni, from where you continue the cycle tour flat to slightly downhill till San Rocco; on the Adige Cycle Track to Belluno and into the near Peri, from there by train to Verona.
    Overnight in the 4****Hotel Fiera.
