MAIN CYCLE TRACK: Pleasure Tour

Day 1, Arrival
in Würzburg into the 4****hotel. Parking on a public parking space free of charge approx. 10 min. walk from the hotel (or in the hotel garage; payable on the spot). Handing over of rental bikes and info.

Day 2, Kitzingen (38 km bike, 20 min. train)
By train to Kitzingen and along the Main through the beautiful wine towns Ochsenfurt and Eibelstadt into the residence town Würzburg. Overnight as the day before.

Day 3, Gemünden (44 km)
From the centre the cycle track leads to the Convent Zell am Main and further on to Karlstadt (Castle Karlsburg) as well as Gemünden (Castle Scherenburg). Overnight in the 3***hotel.

Day 4, Wertheim (51 km)
Through the Spessart further on into the town Lohr with rich timber-framed houses and through the here lonely Main valley to Erlach, Marktheidenfeld and to Wertheim. Overnight in the 3***hotel.

Day 5, Tauber Valley (55 km bike, 45 min. train)
By train to Bad Mergentheim; cycle tour on the Tauber Valley Cycle Track through the famous wine region over Lauda-Königshofen to Wertheim. Overnight as the day before.

Day 6, Miltenberg (39 km)
With glorious views through the wild-romantic Main valley over Mondfeld and Freudenberg to Miltenberg (townscape, Mildenburg, Franziscan Church).

Day 7, Aschaffenburg (41 km)
Passing Obernburg in the now flat Main Valley over Niedernberg to Aschaffenburg (sandstone castle Johannisburg, romantic old town).

Day 8, Frankfurt (55 km)
Beautiful finish through floodplains and parks to Großkrotzenburg and past Offenbach at the Main directly into the centre of the Goethe-town at the "Eisernen Steg" near Roman. Overnight in the 4****hotel in the centre.

Day 9, Journey home
by train; Frankfurt departure 9.30 h/Würzburg arrival 11.24 h without change.
