MOSELLE CYCLE TRACK: From Treves to Koblenz

TT19 Moselle Cycle Track: Wine-culture pure: Treves - Koblenz

Enjoy the romantic Moselle valley with its picturesque vineyards, charming timber-framed houses and numerous ruins and castles.

ROUTE

Moselradweg_Trier_Stadtansicht
  • Day 1, Arrival
    in Treves, the oldest German town. Handing out of rental bikes and info. Private parking space (unguarded).
Moselradweg_Trittenheim_Mosellandschaft
  • Day 2, Trittenheim (40 km)
    On the Moselle Cycle Track to Schweich and past the Moselle bend of Trittenheim into the corresponding town or on to the neighbouring Neumagen-Dhron.
Moselradweg_Bernkastel_Landschaft
  • Day 3, Zeltingen (36 km)
    Along the Moselle bends you cycle to the picturesque wine town Bernkastel and further on to your destination for the day.
Moselradweg_Zell_Prinzenkopf_Marienburg
  • Day 4, Zell (35 km)
    Through small wine towns to Traben-Trarbach (Grevenburg) and along steep vineyards to the wine town Zell ("Black Cat"). In the evening atmospheric wine tasting.
Moselradweg_Cochem_Reichsburg
  • Day 5, Cochem (37 km)
    Today you cycle past the steepest European vineyard, the Calmont, to your destination. There the Castle Reichsburg, the most famous of all Moselle castles, towers high over the narrow valley.
Moselradweg_Gondorf
  • Day 6, Koblenz (49 km)
    By bike to Treis-Karden and on to Moselkern. Here we suggest a visit of the famous Burg Eltz. Afterwards it goes along the Moselle Cycle Track over Hatzenport to Kobern-Gondorf to Koblenz.
Moselradweg_Koblenz_Deutsches_Eck
  • Day 7, Journey back
  •   to Treves, every Friday and Saturday by bus; rest of days by train or additional overnights in Koblenz.
