In fact, it was one of the best holidays ever.

Hello Donau Touristik Team,
I have been back in Hamburg since Monday.
What can I say? This trip was the BEST so far!!! And I have been doing a bike and boat trip every year since 2018. Everything was just perfect here.
The amount of cycling but also the boat passages were overwhelming. What a starry sky when we travelled along the Danube at night and everything was dark to the left and right.
Of course, we also cycled in the light. I should have put my binoculars in my suitcase for that.
The Iron Gate with its imposing stone face and this canyon-like 10 km narrow section - indescribable and so impressive.
The only drawback was that the timing was not ideal. We passed this section between 4 and 5 a.m. and unfortunately there was no signposting. So you had to be on your toes and of course awake!
On the way back, we passed this section exactly during dinner. At the request of all of us, dinner was then spontaneously interrupted for about an hour after the starter so that EVERYONE could witness the spectacle on deck. And all the passengers really did come up. See picture.
Donau Touristik MUST definitely plan better in future!
Apart from that, EVERYTHING was really perfect. As already mentioned, I thought the rescheduling due to the accident was very good!
Of course, we are now missing two of the planned cycle routes. BUT that is a reason to repeat this trip at some point in the future :-)

I also found that the ship captain was the same as in our rad&shif during 2019. Since he did a favoure to us back then, we invited him to a drink this time to compensate. 😊.

Short cruise to get to know - Linz - Bratislava - Vienna 2024

We booked the journey from Linz to Bratislava with you, but only travelled as far as Vienna. Nevertheless, we really enjoyed this shortened journey.
We would like to thank the entire crew, who were always friendly and helpful and certainly played a big part in ensuring that the mood never changed.
We would also like to thank the team in the office in Linz and the management for what we consider to be a very generous offer.
The entire amount was transferred back to us last week. We would like to thank them for the quick and, above all, uncomplicated processing.
All in all, we will recommend Donautouristik to others - and we would like to repeat this trip next year (if all 4 of us stay healthy).

We are back safe and sound from our river cruise on the MS Primdonna. We travelled by boat and bike from 02/08-09/08. The trip was a great experience all round. The staff and especially the captain were first class. I can recommend the trip unconditionally. Thank you for this wonderful experience.

Once again this year, the weather conditions are not easy for navigation on the Danube. The ship was slightly damaged by tree trunks. The necessary repairs logically led to time delays. However, the excellent captain and his great crew made the best of it. Many thanks for the additional watch trip (Ybbs was cancelled due to time constraints).
Fortunately, the weather played along so that we could really enjoy the trip and the wonderful scenery from the upper deck. As I said, the entire crew deserves a lot of praise!!!!!! You can be proud to have such an excellent captain on board!!!!

Despite the problems with the ship's engine and a missed cycling day, we enjoyed our holiday.
We would like to thank the hotel manager and crew for their efforts to arrange everything as well as possible.
Waiting is never fun, but when you see how much effort goes into making sure everything runs smoothly and pleasantly for the guests, it goes without saying.

I would also like to thank you on behalf of the 8-person mini-group that I "led" for the excellently organised and executed river cruise. Your ship is in perfect condition, all the facilities work perfectly and are well maintained.
The on-board staff are extremely polite and friendly, perfectly dressed and very well organised as a team; the kitchen team (chefs + service) are quick and efficient and the quality of the food is of a high standard, which one does not necessarily expect from cruise ships of this category from the outset.
All interesting shore excursions were perfectly organised despite delays due to flooding - the guides spoke fluent German - which is unfortunately not a matter of course elsewhere ...
In this context, a big compliment to the captain, who managed to get us to Budapest despite the low water. As we heard later, other ships had broken down in Kalosca and Baja. So we still had the opportunity to visit Budapest and Szentendre. The captain later reported that there were three of them on the bridge during the night journey to Budapest and that he sometimes no longer believed that we would make it to Budapest.
The evening briefings on the next day's cycle tour were also always very informative. Gerhild and her husband did a really good job. On the last evening, Gerhild gave a short presentation of our trip. She wanted to endeavour to make a link available to all tour participants. Will that work? I would be very pleased.
Finally, the organisation of the remaining days up to the trip to Passau, including the hotel and dinner there, was excellent. It was certainly not easy to find hotel capacity for so many people in such a short time.

The bikes (I had ordered an e-bike) were in perfect condition and were always made available in good time by the friendly staff at Donau-Touristik; the gentlemen took care of every problem, no matter how small.
However, I would like to say that the number of bikes brought along privately was far too high. The crew (from the captain to the chambermaid, everyone helped) had to lug the bikes from the ship to the jetty, which is no fun with the heavy e-bikes anyway, but was quite a feat in the extremely low water we were confronted with. In Kalosca (2 October), the ship was unable to reach the jetty and an additional bridge had to be built.... I hope that the owners of the private bikes thanked us appropriately...
The crew were always friendly, which was sometimes difficult with some guests.

My wife and I have booked the cycle tour from Passau to the Iron Gate and back with you for the above-mentioned period. We would like to thank you and your crew on the ship once again for the wonderful trip and the perfect organisation. Starting with the cabins - we had cabin 128 - which were cleaned every day by a very nice lady, the excellent catering including the service staff, the instructions regarding the daily cycle tours, the provision of the bikes etc., everything was really perfect and we felt very comfortable. What Marco achieved with his clear information for the guests, together with his crew - the captain and his staff deserve special mention here - was quite remarkable.
The necessary reorganisation of the daily schedules due to low water from Budapest and the transport by bus from Budapest to Passau worked "like clockwork", with the enormous organisational work of those responsible taking place in the background without the guests noticing anything. Congratulations to the company for such a fantastic crew, we can only congratulate you on these employees.

What was particularly noticeable was the team spirit. Whether it was transporting the suitcases or bringing the bikes in and out, from the captain to the masseuse, everyone pitched in and helped.

My wife and I enjoyed the trip very much, returned very relaxed and must praise the crew of the Primadonna. The cabins and the ship were always clean and tidy, the catering on board was excellent and the crew were always friendly, courteous and helpful.
The route briefings after the evening meal in the atrium were very good and helpful for the individual planning of the next day.

The entire staff was extremely courteous, friendly and competent, and we would especially like to thank the cruise director, who made it possible for us to disembark immediately in Nussdorf. This meant that we were able to catch the train to Innsbruck very late, but still in good time.
