All details are listed in our extended hygiene guide, which is based on legal and local requirements and guidelines - you can find it HERE.
Important advance information about the current CoVID19 protection measures on board will be sent to you with your travel documents.
The 1G rule states that you must be vaccinated twice, with the second vaccination no more than 180 days ago, and the third vaccination 365 days ago, or you have 2 vaccinations and a convalescent certificate (valid for 180 days from convalescence).
All employees on board have already received a vaccination.
Please note our top Corona prevention concept:
In consideration of possible new Corona waves, we can only accept vaccinated persons on board for our cruises from January 2022 (1G rule). All staff on board also comply with these regulations. This regulation applies to the MS Primadonna and the MS Esmeralda.
Masks are compulsory during the entire embarkation until the 1G rule is checked.
In addition, perfected hygiene precautions such as comprehensive disinfection measures are carried out regularly.
(Subject to change according to official instructions)
As there is no official vaccination obligation for minors (up to and including 17 years), no vaccination is necessary. A negative antigen or PCR test according to the current guidelines of the federal government is sufficient.
On the entire ship - also in all cabins including the crew - the air conditioning and air supply works exclusively with fresh air; this means that no air is filtered or exchanged - but only fresh air is supplied from outside. The distribution of aerosols is therefore excluded.
All cabins are completely disinfected after each trip, including a specially purchased suction device for the mattresses as well as room disinfection using the Saniswiss Sanitizer steaming device. Room disinfection is the final cleaning step in each cabin and ensures comprehensive disinfection of the entire cabin.
Disinfection of all public areas including WCs, door buckles, railings and tables takes place several times a day.
Our guests will find disinfection and hygiene dispensers at all key points - at the entrances to the ship, the bar and the restaurant. All drink menus are coated with a special varnish against bacteria and viruses.
The disinfection of the bicycle handles on bicycle cruises is carried out daily, as is the disinfection of the suitcase handles.
Cabins and boarding cards are disinfected regularly.
The crew cabins are also disinfected after the start of each cruise in the same way as the customer cabins.
Masks (MNS and FFP2) are also available in the on-board shop at cost price.
The crew is already vaccinated. The 1G-rule also applies to all crew members, as well as the mandatory wearing of a mouth-nose protection or an FFP2 mask when in contact with guests, if required by the authorities. The employees were trained in the CoVID19 prevention and hygiene measures at the beginning of the season.
All have completed a medical examination and, if employed, can go on board in compliance with the 1G-rule. Staff are also tested for CoVID19 twice a week with a rapid antigen test. Two specially trained Covid-19 medical officers from our crew monitor compliance with the measures on board during daily operations.
Breakfast is served buffet style. We recommend disinfecting your hands when entering the buffet area.
You will receive a list of partner organizations (cafes/restaurants/museums, etc.) that offer a high level of Corona safety precautions.
An FFP2 mask must be worn in public transport, supermarkets, pharmacies, museums and retail outlets. For information on country-specific Covid requirements, see MS Primadonna Today.
The performing artists are all from the respective region through which the ship passes. Access on board is also only possible for the artists in compliance with the 1G-rule.
Bar shaves, health massages and hydrojet treatments are only performed individually (guest by guest one after the other). A dedicated registration system at reception allows all guests to plan their spa visit in advance.
We limit the number of visitors in the indoor whirlpool area and in the sauna. An appointment must be made at reception.
Status May 2022. Subject to change according to official instructions.
