Insider tips Brixen im Thale

Product manager Claudia went on an exploratory tour for you in Brixen im Thale to see the quality of the 4☼☼☼☼Vital& Sporthotel for herself and to test the cycle paths in the surrounding area.

Hospitality that convinces

Here, the well-being of our guests is our top priority. I am convinced of this when the friendly hotel manager Sebastian shows me around the top hotel and introduces me to his courteous staff. After the bike tours, relaxation is on the programme: the spacious wellness area with indoor pool, whirlpool, sauna, steam bath and a beautifully landscaped outdoor area with pool and swimming pond offer plenty of variety. There are also 10 tennis courts - a real paradise for tennis fans. For me as a passionate cyclist, however, this is only of secondary importance 😉.

My tip: Treat yourself to a relaxing massage: from a classic partial body massage to hot stone at a fair price from € 39 for 25 minutes. Book one of the popular appointments on the day of your arrival.

Vital & good is the motto

In the morning, I enjoy salmon, spreads, freshly squeezed juices and a deliciously prepared scrambled egg to my liking at the extensive breakfast buffet. In the evening, in addition to traditional, regional dishes, there is also a choice of vital, partly vegan dishes. The salad buffet exceeds my expectations: from A for artichoke to Z for courgette, there is something for everyone.

Home advantage for schnapps lovers

Tyrol's oldest distillery "Erber" is located not far from the hotel (approx. 7 minutes' walk) in the direction of the town centre. You can sample the range (limited 😉) by appointment.

My tip for liqueur fans: be sure to try the "Tiroler Nusseler" - a speciality of the region.

Flat and car-free at the foot of the Tyrolean mountains

The cycle paths are all on the valley floor and easy to cycle. The tour to Kirchberg & Kitzbühel is very beautiful. It is also only slightly uphill along the Aschauer Ache. In the farm shop "Kasplatzl" you can sample the home-made products and numerous types of cheese. In summer, the show dairy invites you to take a cosy break.

My tip: savour a portion of cheese spaetzle at "Kasplatzl".

Mountain scenery and alpine charm

I experience a piece of Kitzbühel's joie de vivre as I stroll through the sports town in the Alps with its picturesque old town. The panorama at nearby Schwarzsee, the most beautiful moorland lake in Tyrol, provides a wonderful backdrop for a holiday snapshot.

"Which is the right glass for my wine?" - "RIEDEL."

If you opt for the "active tour" to Kufstein, then I recommend a visit to the "RIEDEL" glass factory. The public tours of the factory are free of charge. You can literally look over the shoulders of the glassblowers at remarkable temperatures - it's impressive how much manual labour is performed there every day. You'll break out in a sweat just watching 😉.

Honest recommendation

I can really recommend the popular star cycle tour "Brixen im Thale". The 4☼☼☼☼Vital-& Sporthotel Brixen lives up to its name, you feel very welcome as a cyclist and is also the ideal starting point for leisurely bike tours. There are many opportunities in the region to get to know Austrian hospitality even better.
