Interview with the housekeeper
Natalija Todorovic is the housekeeper - our head of housekeeping and good soul - on the 4****Sup. MS Primadonna and is usually travelling on the Danube during the summer months. As housekeeper, she keeps an eye on the cleanliness, tidiness and service on board and makes a significant contribution to the well-being of our guests.
In this interview, she talks about her everyday life on board, reveals her personal favourite section and shares valuable tips for an unforgettable cruise.

What tasks do you do on board and what do you like most about it?
As a housekeeper, I ensure that the passenger areas of the ship are clean and tidy. I organise and supervise the work of the chambermaids and make sure that the cabins and communal areas are clean and tidy - all with the aim of ensuring that guests enjoy a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.
What I like most is that my work contributes directly to guest satisfaction.
How did you get this dream job?
My story began in the catering and hotel industry, where I gained valuable experience in dealing with people and in organisation.
A love of travelling and the desire for new challenges led me to this job. After applying (and successfully completing an interview), the door opened for me to work on this renowned cruise ship.
What makes working on the ship special for you?
It's the combination of travelling, working in an international team and the opportunity to meet people from different cultures every day. Every day brings something new - a different city, a different view from the deck. That makes this work special and inspiring!
What has been your favourite experience on board so far?
The appreciation of the many guests when they thank us for our impeccable cleanliness and friendliness - it makes me realise that our efforts really do make a difference.
What is your favourite part of the Danube cruise / where do you experience the most beautiful and touching moments?
Budapest takes my breath away every time - the enthusiasm of the guests and the monumental buildings! I also love the elegance of Vienna and the impressive Đerdap Gorge (Iron Gate) near Kladovo, where the Danube shows its power and beauty!
Do you have any tips for travelling along the Danube?
I recommend taking time for a walk and soaking up the atmosphere in every city - whether it's a romantic stroll along the Danube in Budapest, a visit to cultural sights in Vienna or a view of the gorge at Kladovo.
And of course: try the local specialities - it's the best way to feel the spirit of the place!
