The village of Ebersdorf is located in the municipality of Leiben, on the southern edge of the Waldviertel and near the Wachau, directly on the Danube. Not far away is the Strudengau and the legendary Nibelungengau. Sights in the surrounding area are the Melk Abbey, Schallaburg Castle, Leiben Castle and Artstetten Castle.
