Turnu Severin


Turnu Severin is a Romanian town in Mehedinti County. In 1972, the town was given the name "Drobeta" to commemorate the existence of the former Roman town on this site.

Top sights

Worth seeing are not only the town hall and the theatre building from the 20th century, but also the ruins of the Roman Drobeta. Also the historic 27 m high water tower, which is a listed building, as well as the foundation walls of the Cathedral of St. Severin.
