Schlögen

The "Schlögener Schlinge", the natural wonder of Upper Austria, is a river loop in the upper Danube valley, about halfway between Passau and Linz. The southern bank lies in the municipality of Haibach ob der Donau and its district Schlögen, which also gives the loop its name.

Top sights

The Schlögener Schlinge can be admired most beautifully from the viewpoint "Schlögener Blick". A beautiful hike to the viewpoint starts in Haibach. Parking spaces are available.

Culture, events & culinary

Especially the local restaurants organize theme evenings, for example with fish or barbecue evenings. For cyclists, there is the "Haibacher Radklassiker" in the summer, a bike race for everyone. There is also a lot going on in the town during the "Open Air Summer" at the "Hoamat" restaurant, with musical highlights.
