Danube cycle path

Dear Donau Touristik Team.

We returned safely to Denmark yesterday.

We would like to tell you how delighted we were on our trip from Passau to Vienna! Beautiful and magnificent landscapes, good and comfortable hotels, excellent bicycles, well-functioning logistics in terms of luggage-delivery, a detailed map and a comprehensive info-booklet. The bikelanes were mostly very well maintained. And it was dry and sunny weather until we reached Vienna.

The minor things that troubled us was the drop-off location for the bikes in Tulln - the two ladies at the Donaupark Camping seemed frustrated and kept asking us for a yellow voucher that we did not have. Eventually they took a copy from the info-booklet and agreed to receive the keys to the bikes. Likewise the waiters at the "Zwölf Apostelkeller" in Vienna did not seem very interested in us visiting them. We don't know why.

Thank you for a very well organised tour! We might consider coming back to you some other time.

The staff at Donau Touristik were happy to help with any questions about the tour. Very good organisation, beautiful cycle paths, nice hotels/inns. Breakfast was sufficient and varied. Luggage transport including return journey by bus was very well organised. We enjoyed our breaks in the beer gardens/cafés in the beautiful weather.

We will be happy to book through your agency again for 2025 and will gladly recommend you to others.

Thank you very much for your friendly and uncomplicated co-operation. We had a very nice time on the Danube - it felt like 3 weeks. Every day in a different place created a very special awareness of the journey. We took the 2 hire bikes with us to Vienna and left them in the bike cellar of the NH Hotel, along with the bags and keys.

Perhaps you had heard that 1 saddle had broken off directly in Spitz. After 1 short phone call and 20 minutes later we had the replacement bike at Haus Österreicher in Spitz and were able to continue cycling ... that was really good.

We had a great time!
