We are currently travelling home by car and I took the time to give you some feedback on our trip.
First of all, we had great weather (two thunderstorms in the evening when we were already in the hotel), we never got lost and the luggage transport was reliable!
With a bit of fitness, you probably don't need an e-bike for this route, but we really enjoyed the support.
I also have nothing but good things to say about the hotels:
The Hotel Sonne in Lienz is a bit outdated, but is very conveniently located in the centre.
The Hotel Sunshine has somewhat old-fashioned rooms with tiny bathrooms, but this is compensated for by the warm, very personalised treatment of the guests.
We were pleasantly surprised by the pool in Spittal. However, we didn't do the suggested tour around Lake Millstatt because we found the access road too dangerous.
In Villach we were lucky to get a room at the back (it would certainly have been noisy on the station square), the hotel facilities were very modern!
In Krumpendorf the hotel was very conveniently located to the railway station and had excellent cuisine!
All in all we were very satisfied/: good bikes, nice hotels and lots to see along the way - Roman excavations, the Silbersee was idyllic and on the Wörthersee tour we liked Maria Wörth best.
All in all, a great week full of variety!
