Route
Day 1, Arrival in Wetzlar

At the 4☼☼☼☼Superior Vienna House by Wyndham Ernst Leitz. Free parking at the hotel (on request). Welcome menu. Your rental bike (if booked) will be waiting for you at the hotel.

Day 2, Wetzlar/Gießen (44 km)

The route takes you from Wetzlar through the Lahnauen without any inclines to the university, cultural, and shopping city of Gießen and back again.

Day 3, Lahn Cycle Route and Limburg (70 km by bike, 41 minutes by train)

Take the beautiful car-free Lahn Cycle Route via Löhnberg to the ruins of Laneburg Castle and Runkel Castle. Continue to Limburg an der Lahn with its old Lahn bridge, Limburg Cathedral, etc. Return by train (hourly service, approximately € 15,- on site).

Day 4, Marburg (70 km by bike, 10 minutes by train)

To nearby Giessen, by train (every half hour, approximately € 6,- on site) to Marburg with its witch tower, Elisabeth Cathedral, Landgrave Castle, and much more. Return via the Lahn Cycle Route.

Day 5, Wetzlarer Weinberg Nature Reserve (44 km)

To the nature reserve; short walk to the tower. Continue to Lahn Island and the Iron Bridge.

Day 6, Ehringhausen (62 km)

Along the Dill to Ehringshausen and Marxmühle; continue via Sinn to Herborn with its beautiful old town (half-timbered houses); return.

Day 7, Journey home

After breakfast.
