Route
Day 1, Arrival in Wetzlar

Free parking at the hotel is available upon request. Your rental bike (if booked) will be waiting for you at the hotel.

Day 2, Giessen (44 km)

The route runs on flat terrain from Wetzlar through the Lahn floodplains – with no inclines – to the university, cultural, and shopping city of Giessen and back again.

Day 3, Lahn Bike Path and Limburg (69 km by bike, 40-67 minutes by train)

Ride along the beautiful, car-free Lahn Cycle Path via Löhnberg to the Laneburg Castle ruins and Runkel Castle. Continue on to Limburg an der Lahn with its historic Lahn Bridge, Limburg Cathedral, and more.
Return by train (hourly service).

Day 4, Wetzlarer Weinberg Nature Reserve (44 km)

182 hectares of freedom for flora and fauna – from the tree falcon to the wryneck; walk to the tower. Continue to Lahn Island and the Iron Bridge.

Day 5, Ehringhausen (62 km)

Along the Dill River to Ehringhausen and Marxmühle, then on via Sinn to Herborn with its beautiful old town (half-timbered houses) and back again.

Day 6, Return Home

After breakfast.
