Route
Day 1, Arrival in Eichstätt:

Parking near the hotel (approx. €10,- per week on site). Your rental bike (if booked) will be ready for you at the hotel. Overnight stay in a 4☼☼☼☼ hotel.

Day 2, Beilngries (44 km):

From the magnificent bishop’s and residence town through the wild and romantic Altmühltal to the day’s destination. Overnight stay in a 3☼☼☼ superior hotel.

Day 3, Kelheim (48 km):

Via Dietfurt to the beautiful town of Riedenburg (Crystal Museum; closed on Mondays) and to the Wittelsbach town of Kelheim (Liberation Hall). Overnight stay in a 3☼☼☼ hotel.

Day 4, Regensburg (38 km):

Through Bad Abbach to the UNESCO World Heritage city with its Stone Bridge, Cathedral, Palace, and Reichstag building. Overnight stay in a 4☼☼☼☼ hotel.

Day 5, Bad Gögging (50 km by bike, 50 minutes by boat):

Past Saal to the Danube Gorge boat station. Boat trip (approx. hourly) to the secluded Weltenburg Abbey (atmospheric beer garden) and on to the day’s destination. Overnight stay in a 4☼☼☼☼ hotel.

Day 6, Neuburg/Donau (56 km):

Along the Danube Cycle Path through hop fields, past Ingolstadt, to the residence town of Neuburg. Overnight stay in a 3☼☼☼ hotel.

Day 7, Eichstätt (60 km):

A short stretch along the Danube, then through the Wellheim dry valley (ancient Danube) via Dollnstein to the clerical town of Eichstätt. Overnight stay as on the arrival day.

After breakfast.
