Top Attractions

The seaside promenade along the Baltic Sea coast stretches for 12 km, making it the longest seaside promenade in Europe and just one of the area’s highlights. In Ahlbeck, the wide promenade invites visitors to stroll along its many small and large shops, restaurants, and cafés.

Running parallel to the promenade is Dünenstraße, featuring many noteworthy buildings in the classic spa architecture style.

Culture & Events

Particularly impressive is the wooden Ahlbeck Pier. Built in 1898, Germany’s oldest pier has preserved its historic charm to this day.

A visit to the OstseeTherme Usedom is well worth it. Right next door is an observation tower offering wonderful views over Ahlbeck.

Cuisine

In Ahlbeck, there is a restaurant or snack bar to suit every taste, offering fresh fish and regional dishes. “Uwe’s Fischerhütte” is said to serve the best fish sandwiches on Usedom.
