Lake Zell is the heart of the region, perfect for swimming, boating, and strolling along its shores. A ride on the Schmittenhöhebahn offers spectacular views of over 30 peaks above 3,000 meters. A visit to the Elisabeth Chapel at the summit of the Schmittenhöhe, built in memory of Empress Sisi, is particularly worthwhile.
