Every day, cycle through a picturesque region away from car traffic. Ample time for exploring the countryside, interacting with locals, as well as taking breaks and sightseeing during the bike tour.

Arrival on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, from April 26^th to October 6^th, and daily from June 1^stto August 31^st

Route

Day 1, Arrival

Arrive by train from all over Germany/Austria (e.g. from the airports in Munich or Vienna) to Passau. Distribution and adjustment of rental bikes. Our tip: 3-river tour by boat (approximately € 13.- on-site, 50 minutes). Overnight stay in a 3^☼☼☼hotel.

Day 2, Schlögen (40 km)

Pass by Engelhartszell (Roman fort Oberranna, UNESCO World Heritage Site) to the Schlögen Loop. Overnight stay in a 3^☼☼☼hotel.

Day 3, Linz (46 km cycling, 15 minutes by train)

Through the sparsely populated Engtal to the Danube municipality of Ottensheim; by S-Bahn (half-hourly service, approximately € 5.- on-site) to Linz. Overnight stay in a 4^☼☼☼☼hotel.

Day 4, Thaling/Enns (33 km)

Along the Danube to St. Florian Monastery, which is considered the most important cultural center of the region. Experience baroque splendor and exciting stories. The impressive Baroque rooms, the "Bruckner organ," and the library with 160,000 works impress thousands of visitors annually. Then along the Enns Cycle Path to the destination in Thaling/Enns. Overnight stay in a 3^☼☼☼hotel.

Day 5, Wallsee (36 km)

By ferry to Mauthausen (+ € 5.- payable on-site) and to the interactive Celtic Museum Mitterkirchen; further to the destination (Habsburg Castle). Overnight stay in a 3^☼☼☼hotel.

Day 6, Ybbs (40 km)

Via Ardagger to Grein (castle, Baroque theater), through the Strudengau to Ybbs. Overnight stay in a 4^☼☼☼☼or 3^☼☼☼hotel.

Day 7, Spitz (47 km)

To Melk (Abbey) and through the Wachau, passing beautiful vineyards to the wine village of Spitz. Overnight stay in a 3^☼☼☼hotel.

Day 8, Vienna (57 km cycling, 30 minutes by train)

Through Krems to the flower city of Tulln. By train (approximately half-hourly) to Austria's capital, Vienna (approximately € 11.- excluding bike/payable on-site). Overnight stay in a 4^☼☼☼☼hotel.

Day 9, Departure

Train journey directly from Vienna (no transfer to the train station). Transport of own bikes is done independently. Due to reduced comfort when bringing your own bikes for train travel, we recommend using our high-quality rental bikes.
