Dear Sir or Madam,

The ongoing late-summer weather, with high temperatures and consequently high evaporation rates, is causing water levels to drop (we have broken the 20-day rule).

The Danube in Austria, between Pöchlarn/Wachau and the national border near Bratislava, is experiencing extremely low water levels, which currently make navigation by cruise ships impossible.

Due to the situation—which prevents us from guaranteeing navigation to either Bratislava or Budapest—we have, to our great regret, decided to cancel your booked short cruise with departure on October 14.

We offer the following alternatives:

Rebooking to “The Most Beautiful Christmas Markets of the Danube Region from Passau” in 2026
For details on the itinerary, prices, and dates, visit: The Most Beautiful Christmas Markets of the Danube Region from Passau - Donau Touristik

If you rebook, you’ll receive a special 10% discount by entering the promo code NWA10 (valid for bookings received by November 2, 2026).

In the event of a rebooking, any payment you have already made will be retained in full and applied to the new booking.

Rebooking to the Christmas Markets of Budapest and Komárno 2026
For program details, prices, and dates, see: The Christmas Markets of Budapest & Komárno from/to Vienna - Donau Touristik

If you rebook, you’ll receive a special 10% discount by entering the promo code NWA10 (valid for bookings received by Nov. 30, 2026).

In the event of a rebooking, your payment will remain valid in full and will be applied to the new reservation.

We regret the circumstances—unfortunately, this decision was necessary!
We would be delighted to welcome you on board at a later date.
