Route
Sunday, arrival in Keszthely

On the western shore of Lake Balaton. Parking at the hotel (€ 3,- per night).

Monday, West Balaton tour (67 km by bike, 30 minutes by boat)

Your rental bike (if booked) will be waiting for you at the hotel. Follow EuroVelo 14 along the shore past Szigliget (castle) to the wine-growing region near Badacsony. Take the boat to Fonyód (4 times a day). Return via Balatonfenyves on the south shore.

Tuesday, Keszthely or a swimming day

Individual tour of the provincial town directly on Lake Balaton (Festetics Castle, Pavilion Street, Helikon Park, and much more). Optional swimming day (for example Island Bath).

Wednesday, Kányavári Island (57 km)

Take the Balaton Cycle Route to the historically significant inland castle of Keszthely-Fenékpuszta and the Kis-Balaton. To Kányavári Island (individual sightseeing); return.

Thursday, Tihany (71 km by bike, 62 minutes by train, 16 minutes by ferry)

Take the train to Zamárdi (hourly service) and on to the ferry at Szántód. Crossing to the Tihany peninsula (half-hourly service) with its magnificent abbey church and fantastic panoramic view. Take the ferry back to Szántód and cycle along the south shore via Fonyód to the hotel.
