Your individual journey takes you to Lienz, the starting point of your cycling holiday. If booked, your rental bike will already be waiting for you at the hotel and can be collected upon arrival. For the duration of your stay, parking is available directly at the hotel, subject to availability. Alternatively, public parking spaces are available near the railway station on Ladestraße or at the Dolomitenstadion. The cost is approximately € 24,- for seven days or € 4.80 per 24 hours and is payable on site. After arrival, you will have time to explore the town at your own pace and prepare for the days ahead.

From Lienz, take the train to Sillian. Services run every hour, and tickets cost approximately €13 per person, payable on site. Once in Sillian, you join the Drava Cycle Path and follow a varied route through the scenic landscapes of East Tyrol. The ride features many peaceful stretches and mostly gentle downhill sections, making for a relaxed day in the saddle. Along the way, you pass through attractive countryside before reaching your destination in Berg or Dellach. Alternatively, you may start cycling directly from Lienz and ride to the day's destination without using the train. In this case, the cycling distance is reduced to 33 km.

Today you continue along the Drava Cycle Path, following a pleasant route through shady deciduous forests and alongside natural stretches of the river. Along the way, you pass the medieval village of Greifenburg, whose historic character makes it an attractive stop for a short break. The route then leads past Neustein and Raggnitz Castles before continuing via Lind towards Spittal. The varied landscape combines nature and cultural highlights and repeatedly rewards you with beautiful views of the Upper Drava Valley before you reach your destination for the day.

Today’s circular ride takes you to Lake Millstatt, the second largest lake in Carinthia. The route leads via Lendorf and Seeboden to the lakeshore, where beautiful views of the crystal clear water and the surrounding scenery accompany you along the way. Continuing along the lake, you cycle to Döbriach and enjoy impressive panoramic vistas of Lake Millstatt and the neighbouring mountain ranges. This varied tour combines attractive natural landscapes, scenic stretches and pleasant cycling paths, offering an excellent opportunity to explore one of Carinthia’s most beautiful lake regions before returning to your starting point.

Today you continue along the Drava Cycle Path towards Villach. The route follows the river for much of the day and offers a pleasant mix of natural scenery and cultural landmarks. Along the way, you pass the Museum Carantana, where archaeological finds from the Roman era provide insight into Carinthia’s long history of settlement. The journey then continues to Rothenthurn, dominated by its distinctive castle, before leading through Feistritz and on to the lively town of Villach. With its charming historic centre and almost Mediterranean atmosphere, Villach provides an enjoyable conclusion to today’s stage.

Leaving Villach behind, you continue along the cycle path towards St. Lambrecht, where the route joins a largely level secondary road leading to Velden on Lake Wörthersee. This well-known lakeside resort invites you to take a short break and enjoy its attractive promenade and lively atmosphere. You then follow the scenic lakeside path along Lake Wörthersee, Carinthia’s most famous lake, with beautiful views across the water accompanying much of the ride. Passing through Krumpendorf, you eventually reach Klagenfurt, the capital of Carinthia, known for its charming old town, historic buildings and distinctive Mediterranean flair.

Today’s varied circular ride takes you around Lake Wörthersee, Carinthia’s largest bathing lake. The route leads through the attractive lakeside landscape and offers magnificent views of the turquoise waters and the striking peaks of the Karawanken mountain range. Cycling along the shoreline and through the charming surrounding villages, you experience the unique atmosphere of one of Austria’s most popular holiday regions. In Velden, it is well worth stopping for a coffee at the former film castle hotel on the lake, which remains one of the area’s best-known landmarks. Afterwards, you return to your starting point and enjoy another evening at Lake Wörthersee.

After breakfast, your cycling holiday through East Tyrol and Carinthia comes to an end. Your individual journey home is arranged independently. If you would like to spend more time in the region, additional nights can be booked. This gives you the opportunity to explore Klagenfurt and its surroundings in greater depth, enjoy further excursions, or simply relax by Lake Wörthersee for a little longer. With many memorable impressions of varied cycling stages, beautiful landscapes and cultural highlights, you begin your journey home.
