Day 2, Civitanova Marche (65 km)Bikes provided (if booked). Coastal tour via Porto San Giorgio to Civitanova Marche and back.
Active version: Detour to Torre di Palme (+ 3 km / 80 m elevation gain).
Via San Benedetto del Tronto to the day's destination.
Active version: Detour to Monteprandone (townscape with fortifications) (+ 13 km / 240 m elevation gain).
Cycle to Pedaso, then continue by train to medieval Macerata (international festival). Return via Civitanova Marche and along the coast to the hotel.
Day 5, rest day / sightseeingInteresting excursions to Loreto (Italy's largest Marian pilgrimage site), Recanati, Urbino (UNESCO World Heritage Site) possible.
Day 6, Ascoli Piceno (59 km by bike, 60 minutes by train)Cycle to Pedaso and take the train to Ascoli Piceno (historic old town, Piazza del Popolo). Return by bike through the Tronto Valley (shady) and along the coast.
Day 7, Ripatransone (33 km)Varied, hilly stage via Grottammare to Ripatransone (medieval flair, narrowest alley in Italy) and back via Cupra Marittima (Castello di Marano).
Day 8, Return journeyAfter breakfast.
