Route
Day 1, Arrival in Saalfelden am Steinernen Meer

Free parking at the hotel (garage parking subject to availability).

Day 2, Zell am See (49 km)

Follow the flat Saalach Cycle Path to Maishofen, continue to Prielau Castle, then ride around the beautiful Lake Zell to Zell am See and back.

Day 3, Hochfilzen (25 km by bike, 17 min by train)

Travel by train to the nearby mountain pass; then cycle gently downhill along the cycle path via Leogang (Mining Museum) back to Saalfelden.

Day 4, Pillersee (40 km by bike, 49 min by train)

As on the previous day, take the train to Hochfilzen; ride gently downhill through the beautiful Pillerseetal valley to St. Ulrich and around the lake; continue to Waidring and on to St. Johann in Tirol. Return by train.

Day 5, Yves Rocher Herbal Garden, Hollersbach (56 km by bike, 70 min by train)

Ride along the Saalach Cycle Path to Lake Zell; continue on the Salzach Cycle Path via Zellermoos and Piesendorf to the day’s destination. Return by train (approximately hourly service), about 180 meters of total ascent.

Day 6, Train & Cycling Excursion to Salzburg (17 km)

Take the train to Hallein or Golling (+10 km); from there, cycle traffic-free and on flat terrain along the Salzach Cycle Path directly into the center of the Mozart city. Individual sightseeing. Return by train (approximately hourly service).

Day 7, Saalach Cycle Path (24–44 km)

The cycle path winds along the small river with gentle rolling terrain toward Lofer. Depending on your preference, you can cycle to Weißbach (24 km round trip) and the Seisenberg Gorge Nature Monument, continue to St. Martin near Lofer (38 km round trip), or to Lofer (44 km round trip); return.
