Our highlights: The New Palace and the Belvedere on the Pfingstberg.

Construction of the New Palace began in 1763 under Frederick the Great after the end of the Seven Years’ War and was completed in 1769. It is considered the last major Baroque palace complex in Prussia. Frederick did not intend it as a royal residence, but rather as a palace for guests of his court. Emperor Wilhelm II later made the New Palace his summer residence. Even today, for example, the imperial couple’s bedroom can still be visited.

The UNESCO World Heritage Belvedere on the Pfingstberg is a real insider tip, offering breathtaking views over Potsdam’s palace and lake landscape. Despite its impressive architecture, this gem remains little known. Admission included!
