Route
Day 1, Arrival in Wetzlar

Free parking at the hotel (subject to availability). Welcome dinner.

Day 2, Gießen (44 km)

Your rental e-bike (if booked) will be ready for you at the hotel. Enjoy a flat ride from Wetzlar through the Lahn meadows with no inclines to the university, cultural, and shopping city of Gießen and back.

Day 3, Lahn Cycle Path and Limburg (70 km cycling, 41-67 minutes by train)

Cycle along the beautiful, largely traffic‑free Lahn Cycle Path via Löhnberg to the ruins of Laneburg Castle and Runkel Castle. Continue to Limburg an der Lahn with its old Lahn bridge, Limburg Cathedral, and more.
Return by train (hourly service).

Day 4, Marburg (70 km cycling, 30 minutes by train)

Cycle to nearby Gießen, then take the train to Marburg (every 30 minutes) to visit the Witch’s Tower, St. Elizabeth’s Church, the Landgrave’s Castle, and many other sights.
Cycle back along the Lahn Cycle Path.

Day 5, Wetzlar Vineyard Nature Reserve (44 km)

182 hectares of unspoilt nature for flora and fauna – from Eurasian hobby to wryneck; short walk to the observation tower. Continue to the Lahn Island and the Iron Bridge.

Day 6, Ehringshausen (62 km)

Cycle along the Dill River to Ehringshausen and Marxmühle, then via Sinn to Herborn with its charming half‑timbered old town; return.
