Day 2, Millstätter Lake Loop (48 km)Cycle along uneven fields to Millstatt and Radenthein (charming town, good restaurants); continue along the lake via Laggerhof to Seeboden village and back to the hotel.
Day 3, Sommeregg Castle (11 km)Cycle to the nearby castle (great views, medieval complex) and, for example, visit the torture museum, which vividly illustrates the methods of obtaining truth in the dark Middle Ages. Continue on a forest road to the Pichlhütte (610 m); stop for refreshments and return (+ 17 km).
Day 4, Spittal an der Drau Loop (33 km)On side roads to the lake; continue to nearby Spittal an der Drau (Porcia Castle, the most important Renaissance building in Austria outside of Vienna). Continue along the Drava Cycle Path to the Roman Museum in Teurnia (a major Roman settlement, featuring mosaics, city walls, and much more), then return via Seeboden.
Day 5, Villach (62 km by bike, 63 minutes by train)To nearby city Spittal an der Drau and then along the beautiful Drava Cycle Path to Villach (cityscape, picturesque location, cathedral); take the S-Bahn (hourly service) to Lendorf and back.
