The Collegiate Church in Millstatt is an impressive Romanesque church dating back to the 12th century. It houses valuable works of art and has a rich history. The adjoining cloister is also well worth a visit. A notable symbol of faith is the High Cross, which was erected around 1520.

The listed Heroldeck Castle is also worth a visit. The castle was built at the beginning of the 20th century.

Cuisine

Millstatt offers a generous selection of restaurants, cafés, and inns serving both regional and international cuisine. Traditional Austrian dishes are particularly popular here, and you can try local specialties such as Kärntner Kasnudeln (pasta pockets with a savory filling) and Kärntner Reindling (a sweet yeast cake). There are also many lakeside restaurants that offer beautiful views while you enjoy your meal.
