Route
Day 1, arrival in Saarbrücken (14-18 km)

Parking at the hotel. Your rental bike (if booked) will be waiting for you at the hotel.

Tip: cycle along the Saar River via Bürgerpark to St. Arnual's Collegiate Church, continue via Tabaksweiher to the water organ and back.

Day 2, Saar Cycle Route (34 km)

Take the Saarland Cycle Route to the Völklinger Hütte, which was decommissioned in 1986 – an industrial monument of global significance (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Continue to Emmersweiler on the border with France and return via Forbach.

Day 3, Seven Ponds Tour (58 km)

Via Schafbrücke to St. Ingbert, continuing to Niederwürzbacher Weiher and back via Reichenbrunn.

Day 4, Saar Cycle Route (47 km by bike, 36 minutes by train)

Take the train (every half hour) to Merzig and cycle along the banks of the Saar to the fortified town of Saarlouis. Continue along the Saar Cycle Route back to Saarbrücken.

Day 5, Saargemünd (48 km)

Cycle along the German-French border to Saargemünd, where the Blies flows into the Saar. Return via the same route.

Day 6, Journey home

After breakfast.
