Particularly impressive are the magnificent façades, the ornate interior with colourful frescoes, the striking bell tower and the significant transept. The cathedral, dedicated to the Assumption of Mary and St. Cassian, is not only a religious centre but also an important architectural landmark. Brixen Cathedral is open daily from 6.30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is freely accessible during the day (except during liturgical celebrations).
