Culture & events
The so-called Kapellenberg is located on the slope south of Maria Elend. There are two chapels side by side halfway up the hill. Not far from the two chapels, to the east, there is a spring with a wooden superstructure dating from 1767. According to old folk beliefs, the healing spring flows from the side of a stone statue of Jesus.
Cuisine
There are various inns and restaurants offering traditional Carinthian and international cuisine. Here you can enjoy regional specialities such as Carinthian Kasnudeln (cheese noodles) and Carinthian Reindling (a type of cake). There are also several ‘Heurige’ (wine taverns) where you can enjoy regional wine and cider with regional delicacies in a cosy atmosphere.
