Day 2, St. Johann im Pongau (63 km, 350 metres altitude)Along the Salzach to the day's destination. Possible shortcut of the day's tour by train (half-hourly service, 14 minutes by train, so only 49 km by bike). Overnight stay in a 4☼☼☼☼ or 3☼☼☼Hotel.
Day 3, Spittal/Seeboden (59 km by bike, 47 minutes by train)From Schwarzach-St. Veit by train to Mallnitz. Continue to the Drau Valley to the day's destination. Overnight stay at the 4☼☼☼☼ or 3☼☼☼Hotel.
Day 4, Tarvisio (68 km, 253 metres altitude)Cycle on flat bike path to Villach. Continue slightly uphill along the Gail to Tarvisio. Overnight stay in a 3☼☼☼ hotel.
Day 5, Carnia-Venzone/Gemona (56/65 km, 85 metres altitude)Through the narrow valley of the Fella River on the old railway line to Pontebba; continue to the day's destination. Overnight stay in a 3☼☼☼ hotel.
Day 6, Udine (63/54 km)Partly car-free or on side roads past Osoppo and Buja to the day's destination. Overnight stay in a 4☼☼☼☼ hotel.
Day 7, Grado (63 km)Through the Veneto region, to the lagoon and on to Grado. Overnight stay in a 4☼☼☼☼ hotel or 3☼☼☼hotel.
Day 8, Return journeyPassenger return transferEvery Friday by bus at around 9 a.m. from the central piazza (approxiametly 5-10 minutes walk from the hotel) in Grado to the arrival hotel in Salzburg (at around 4:30 p.m.). Every Saturday and Sunday by bus to Villach, then by train (reserved seats) to Salzburg, arriving at around 4 p.m. The remaining days are at your own discretion.
Return transfer of your own bikesReturn transfer of your own bike possible (+ € 38,-). Every Friday, transport on the return bus journey. Every Saturday and Sunday as a night transfer if dropped off by 5:30 p.m. the day before in Grado; your bike will be waiting for you in Salzburg on Saturday at around 4 p.m.
