Day 1, Arrival in Bregenz

Your individual journey begins in Bregenz. Travel documents and any pre-booked rental bikes can be collected at the information point. Guests arriving by car have several parking options available, subject to availability. Budget-friendly parking spaces are located approximately 2 to 4 km from the information point and cost about € 6,- per day. Public parking in the city centre costs around € 10,- per day, and parking may also be available at the arrival hotel for approximately € 10,- to € 20,- per day. Payment is made locally. Discounted rates are available at the underground car park near the Pfänderbahn, where advance reservation is recommended. Alternatively, Bregenz can be reached easily by train via its well-connected railway station. Overnight stay in a 3☼☼☼ hotel.

Day 2, Constance/Kreuzlingen (69 km)

Today you begin cycling along the shores of Lake Constance, passing the Bregenz Festival Hall and the famous floating lakeside stage. The route continues to Mehrerau with its active monastery before following the picturesque Swiss lakeshore. Through the charming towns of Arbon and Güttingen, you cycle across the varied landscapes of the Upper Lake. Your destination is the historic Council City of Constance, renowned for its rich past and attractive waterfront setting. Spectacular lake views, cultural highlights and beautiful scenery make this an excellent introduction to your cycling holiday. Overnight stay in a 3☼☼☼ hotel.

Day 3, Gailingen/Ramsen (69/79 km)

Your ride begins along the Untersee section of Lake Constance towards Stein am Rhein, whose exceptionally well-preserved old town with its historic façades is considered one of the most beautiful around the lake. From there, you continue along the Rhine to Schaffhausen. One of today’s highlights is the Rhine Falls, Europe’s largest waterfall, where immense volumes of water create a truly impressive natural spectacle. The route then leads back in the direction of Lake Constance through the scenic landscapes of the High Rhine to your destination in the Gailingen or Ramsen region. A rewarding blend of culture, nature and varied scenery characterises this cycling day. Overnight stay in a 3☼☼☼ hotel.

Day 4, Überlingen/Uhldingen (68/78 km cycling, 15 minutes by ferry)

From your overnight location, you cycle once again to Stein am Rhein before following the shoreline of Lake Constance. Along the Höri Peninsula, you reach Radolfzell. If you wish, you may extend the day with an additional round trip on Reichenau Island. A visit to the famous flower island of Mainau is also worthwhile. From Wallhausen, a short ferry crossing takes you to Überlingen, from where you continue to your destination. The combination of idyllic lakeside paths, historic sites and the ferry journey makes for a particularly varied and enjoyable day on Lake Constance. Overnight stay in a 3☼☼☼ hotel.

Day 5, Bregenz (59/69 km)

Before setting off on the final stage, you have the opportunity to visit the renowned prehistoric pile dwellings of Uhldingen. The route then follows the lakeshore via Immenstaad and Meersburg to Friedrichshafen, where attractions such as the Castle Church and the Zeppelin Museum invite a visit. Continuing through the Eriskircher Ried nature reserve, you cycle on to Langenargen and the well-known island town of Lindau. From there, the final kilometres lead back to Bregenz. Magnificent lake panoramas, cultural attractions and natural highlights accompany you until the end of your tour. Overnight stay in a 3☼☼☼ hotel.

Day 6, End of the Cycling Tour

After breakfast, your cycling holiday around Lake Constance comes to an end. You begin your individual return journey or may choose to extend your stay with additional nights. Depending on your plans, there may be time for a final stroll along the lakeshore or further sightseeing in Bregenz before departure. Thanks to excellent rail connections, onward travel by public transport is convenient and straightforward. With lasting impressions of historic towns, attractive waterfront landscapes and the cultural highlights of the region, your varied Lake Constance cycling adventure concludes.
