Monday: Dinkel Stone Route (36 km)Cycle along the Dinkel River into the Netherlands to Losser and on to “Poort Bulten,” an interactive natural history museum. With a little luck, you may spot the majestic Münsterland horses.
Tuesday: Ahaus (61 km)Cycle through the Lasterfeld nature reserve, partly along the 100 Castles Route, to the charming village of Ahle and on to Ahaus with its Baroque moated castle. Return via Wessum and Graes.
Wednesday: Alstätte – Buurse (58 km)Follow the well‑signposted cycle path through the Amtsvenn to the historic “Haarmühle,” a listed water mill. Return through the picturesque Witte Venn nature reserve.
Thursday: Metelen (59 km)Ride eastward on idyllic gravel and meadow paths to Metelen. Return via the charming villages of Heek and Nienborg.
Active option: Cycle via Ochtrup to Metelen (+3 km).
Visit the rock’n’popmuseum. Cycle past Lake Dreiländersee through the moor and heath landscape of the Gildehauser Venn to Bad Bentheim, known for its sandstone castle, medieval atmosphere, and mineral spa. Return to Gronau.
