Route
Sunday, arrival in Velden

Parking directly at the hotel. Your rental bike (if booked) will be waiting for you at the hotel.

Monday, Villach (32 km by bike, 15 minutes by train)

The route leads through Carinthia’s well-maintained cultural landscape to Lind. Continue along the Drau cycle path into the center of Villach. Return by train (every 30 minutes) or by bike (+ 27 km).

Tuesday, around Lake Wörthersee (60 km)

Cycle along the Lake Wörthersee cycle path to the Forstsee exhibition power plant and onward to Klagenfurt with it's famous Lindwurm and beautiful city centre. Return via Maria Wörth.

Wednesday, Lake Ossiacher See & St. Veit an der Glan (52 km by bike, 49 minutes by train)

Travel by train to St. Veit an der Glan (every hour). Via Feldkirchen through the Bleistätter Moor (bog) to Bodensdorf. Return by train (every hour) or by bike (+ 29 km).

Thursday, Alpe Adria cycling path to Arnoldstein (45 km by bike, 76 minutes by train)

Via train to Arnoldstein (every 2 hours, 1 change of trains). Cycle near the river Gail with beautiful views on car free paths to Villach and it's famous Friedensbrücke (= bridge of peace). Cross the Drau und return to the hotel.
