Route
Day 1, arrival in Gunzenhausen: 

Parking in an unguarded, public, and free parking lot. Your rental bike (if booked) will be waiting for you at the hotel. Overnight stay in a 4☼☼☼☼ hotel.

Day 2, Weißenburg (46 km): 

Around the Altmühlsee lake and on to medieval Weißenburg with the Ellinger Tor, one of the most beautiful city gates in southern Germany. Overnight stay in a 3☼☼☼ hotel.

Day 3, Eichstätt (50 km): 

Through the Altmühltal Nature Park, past the “petrified snails” near Solnhofen to the day's destination. Overnight stay in a 4☼☼☼☼ hotel. See our tip!

Day 4, Beilngries (44 km): 

Through the nature park to the Römerkastell in Pfünz and on via Arnsberg to the day's destination, Beilngries. Overnight stay in a 3☼☼☼ hotel.

Day 5, Kelheim (48 km by bike, 75 minutes by boat): 

Passing Dietfurt and Riedenburg, you will reach the Wittelsbach town of Kelheim. Danube breakthrough boat trip to Weltenburg Monastery with its great beer garden. Overnight stay in a 3☼☼☼ hotel.

Day 6, Regensburg (38 km): 

Passing Bad Abbach, you will reach the UNESCO World Heritage city of Regensburg. Overnight stay in a 4☼☼☼☼ hotel.

Day 7, Return journey: 

Bus return to Gunzenhausen on Saturday (entire season) and additionally on Friday (June, September). On the remaining days, return journey by train (2-3 changes). For an additional charge of €38, the return transfer of your own bikes is possible from Thursday to Sunday, either as part of the bus return journey or by night transfer (= drop-off on the evening before by 5 p.m. and delivery to the start hotel by around midday the following day).
