Day 2, Bad Hersfeld (50 km)From the centre to the nearby river and completely car-free past Kämmerzell through the wide low mountain range valley to Lake Pfordter See, Niederaula and the day's destination. Overnight stay in a 3☼☼☼hotel.
Day 3, Morschen/Melsungen (43/60 km, flat or 2 climbs with approximatly 30 m elevation gain)On the car-free cycle path through the wide valley, past Friedlos and various gravel lakes to Rotenburg ‘naturally on the Fulda’ (magnificent centre/half-timbered houses) to Morschen or nearby Melsungen (half-timbered houses). Overnight stay in a 3☼☼☼ hotel.
Day 4, Kassel (54/37 km)Through beautifully wooded, narrow river bends and almost uninhabited, densely wooded nature reserves, car-free and flat to the former royal seat with its magnificent parks, famous orangery and splendid old town. Overnight stay in a 4☼☼☼☼ hotel.
Day 5, Bad Karlshafen (70 km)Through the narrow, wooded Fulda Valley to Hann. Münden; then along the Weser Cycle Route, which is completely car-free and flat, to Bursfelde Monastery and your destination for the day. Overnight stay in a 3☼☼☼ hotel.
Day 6, Holzminden (36-64 km)Along the unique Carlsbahn Cycle Route in the wildly romantic Diemel Valley (including Wülmersen Castle) to Trendelburg; return to Karlshafen (28 km there and back). Continue to Höxter (townscape), the elaborately restored Corvey Castle (UNESCO) and the day's destination (36 km without the cycle tour to Trendelburg). Overnight stay in a 3☼☼☼ hotel.
Day 7, Hamelin (54 km)In the now wide Weser Valley, follow a wooded path through numerous river bends, past Ehrenstein Castle to Bodenwerder, Emmerthal and the nearby Pied Piper town. Overnight stay in a 3☼☼☼ hotel.
Day 8, end of the cycling tourBooking of additional nights or train/bus return journey (passengers) to Fulda at an extra charge. If you book your return transfer through us: bike transfer (your own bike) on Friday and Saturday at an extra charge of € 38,- per bike.
