Individual arrival in Melsungen, the charming half-timbered town at the gateway to the Rhön region. Upon arrival, you will receive your travel documents and rental bikes, if booked. Take some time to explore the historic old town with its beautifully preserved timber-framed houses and prepare for the cycling days ahead. Free public parking is available. Alternatively, parking is available at the hotel for € 56,- per stay.

Day 2, Hann. Münden (64 km)From Melsungen, follow the Fulda River through a diverse cultural landscape. Pass through Guxhagen and Fuldabrück before reaching Kassel, where the impressive Orangery is one of the route's cultural highlights. Continue through the narrow and largely unspoilt Fulda Valley, cycling close to the river and enjoying beautiful views along the way. Shortly before the Fulda meets the Werra, you arrive in the historic half-timbered town of Hann. Münden.

Day 3, Höxter (65 km)Today you follow the Weser Cycle Route through peaceful riverside scenery. The route passes the secluded Bursfelde Abbey, one of the region's most important monastic sites. Continue to the baroque Huguenot town of Bad Karlshafen, whose symmetrical layout creates an attractive contrast to the surrounding countryside. Following the Weser, you eventually reach Höxter, closely linked to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Corvey Castle. Its cultural attractions make this one of the highlights of the tour.

Day 4, Hameln (64 km)Cycle through the increasingly wide Weser Valley, enjoying open landscapes and attractive river views. Along the way, you reach Bodenwerder, beautifully situated on the banks of the Weser. Continue via Emmerthal to Hameln, the famous Pied Piper town. Known for its impressive Weser Renaissance architecture and lively old town, Hameln offers numerous historic buildings and charming streets, providing a memorable end to the day's ride.

Active Option: Detour to Hämelschenburg Castle (+11 km total).
After breakfast, your cycling holiday comes to an end. Return to the starting point by train. The journey includes one train reservation and two changes, with a total travel time of approximately 170 minutes. During the trip, you can reflect on the highlights of the past days. Transport of your own bicycle on the return train journey is arranged independently. Please observe the applicable bicycle transport regulations of the respective rail operators.
