Day 2, Bad Hersfeld (50 km)Past Kämmerzell through the wide low mountain range valley to Lake Pfordter, Niederaula, and the day's destination (largest monastery ruins in Central Europe, half-timbered houses, old town). Overnight stay in a 3☼☼☼ or 4☼☼☼☼hotel.
Day 3, Melsungen (60 km)Through the wide valley here, past various lakes to Rotenburg (center/half-timbered houses) and on to the famous half-timbered town of Melsungen. Overnight stay in a 3☼☼☼hotel.
Day 4, Hann. Münden (64 km)Through the wooded valley with narrow river bends (meanders) and almost uninhabited nature reserves, the route leads to the city at the mouth of the Fulda River. Overnight stay in a 3☼☼☼ or 4☼☼☼☼hotel.
Day 5, Höxter (66 km)Continue on to Höxter and the UNESCO-listed Corvey Castle (included). Overnight stay in a 3☼☼☼ or 4☼☼☼☼hotel.
Day 6, Hamelin (66 km)In the now somewhat wider Weser Valley, pass the Polle castle ruins to Bodenwerder, Emmerthal, and the rat-catcher town (Weser Renaissance). Overnight stay in a 3☼☼☼ or 4☼☼☼☼hotel.
Day 7, Minden (71 km)In the river valley, which is characterized by fields, to Rinteln (old town) and local mountains (approximately 40 m elevation gain) and through the Porta Westfalica to the old trading town (cathedral, old town). Overnight stay in a 3☼☼☼ or 4☼☼☼☼hotel.
Day 8, end of the cycle tourReturn transfer (passengers and own bikes): The return transfer by train/bus to Fulda is included in the tour price. The return transport of your own bike can be booked for any Friday and Saturday for an additional charge of € 38,-. Bike transport is provided as part of the bus trip or, for return travel by train, with drop-off at the hotel in Minden by 5 p.m. the day before (delivery the following day to the arrival hotel in Fulda).
